Terms of Service
What you are buying, from whom, on what terms, and what the law gives you whatever this page says.
Monograms is a trading name of Maksym Ahapodchenko, a sole trader.
Every clause on this page is filed under a shade from the shop's own card: the swatch and its reference on the left, the clause beside it. The references are colours, not positions.
Who you are buying from
Monograms is a trading name of Maksym Ahapodchenko, a sole trader. There is no company here: no company number, no registered office and no certificate of incorporation, because none exists. What there is instead is a person trading under a name, and the law requires that person to be identifiable, so his name, his address and his email are printed in the footer of every page of this site as well as at the head of this one.
In these terms, "the shop" means Monograms, and "you" means the person buying. The address for any notice, including a cancellation, is 106 St Matthew's Gardens, Cambridge CB1 2PT, England, United Kingdom, or support@monograms.live.

Every collection is supplied in PES, DST, JEF, EXP with a PDF stitch guide and the licence. The collection page states the number of designs, names every one of them, and states the hoop the designs are drawn for; that page is the description of what you are buying, and it is meant to be read before you buy rather than after.
What is not sold: embroidery machines, threads, stabiliser, cloth, finished or part-finished items, digitising of your own artwork, and any kind of tuition. Nothing is posted to you.
How an order is made
You put a collection in the basket yourself; nothing is ever added for you, and there is no minimum order. At the checkout the whole amount is shown before anything is confirmed, along with two questions about when your download may begin. Those two answers are yours alone, and the clause of these terms filed under CL-704 says what each of them does.
Payment is not connected yet, so no contract of sale can be made through this site today. What the checkout does instead is write your order out and hand it to your own email program as an order enquiry. That is an invitation to the shop to deal, not an order the shop has accepted: a contract is made only when the shop confirms in writing, and no money is taken before it does.
Price and currency
Prices are in pounds sterling, are the whole amount asked for, and are the ones printed on the collection page and in the basket. Nothing is added after the total: there is nothing to deliver by post, so there is no delivery charge, and there is no card fee, no handling fee and no minimum order.
The owner's tax position is not settled yet. Until it is, this site states nothing about it either way, shows no registration number because there is none to show, and makes no claim that tax is or is not included. The figure printed is the figure asked for.
A price can change, but not for an order already confirmed: what you pay is what the collection page said when you ordered.
Paying
There is no card field anywhere on this site and there will not be one. When payment is connected, it is taken by a payment provider on its own page: your card details go to that provider directly, and this shop neither sees them nor stores them.
Today, the pay button at the checkout is switched off in the page itself rather than merely greyed out, and the reason stands beside it: the collections are still being checked, and a collection that is not finished is not charged for. An order enquiry can still be set down, and the shop will write back.
How the files reach you
By email, as a download link. A download link stays live for 30 days from the order and can be used up to 5 times. Nothing is posted, and there is no physical item in any order placed here.
What is inside the download, what to do if it does not arrive and how a link is re-issued are all on the Delivery & Files page.
The licence that comes with a collection
Buying a collection buys a licence to use the designs; it does not transfer ownership of them. The designs and the files stay the owner's, and the licence is personal to you and to the business you trade as. Stitch and sell the finished items. The files stay with you.
You may:
- Stitch the designs on to items you make yourself and sell them, online or in person, with no limit on how many finished items you stitch.
- Use the designs on items you make as gifts, or for your own household.
- Keep your own working copies of the files on the machines and computers you use.
- Photograph your own stitched items and use the photographs to sell them.
You may not:
- Passing on, sharing, selling, swapping or publishing the stitch files or the PDF guide, whether on their own or inside another product.
- Selling the designs as digital files in any form, including as part of a bundle, a subscription or a membership.
- Converting a design to another format and offering that conversion to anybody else.
- Claiming the designs as your own artwork, or registering them as a trade mark.
- Using the designs as artwork for print - on paper, transfers or screens - rather than as stitching.
The same wording is printed on every collection page and is included as a file in the download, so the licence you hold and the licence published here are the same words.
Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
Where you are buying as a consumer, digital content supplied to you has to be of satisfactory quality (section 34), fit for any particular purpose you made known to the shop before buying (section 35), and as described (section 36). The description is the collection page: the number of designs, the names of the designs, the file formats and the hoop.
Where it falls short, you may require a repair or a replacement (section 42), and where that is not possible or is not done within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience to you, a reduction in price (section 44), which may be the whole price. Nothing on this site takes those rights away or shortens them, and it could not: section 47 makes a term that tried to do so of no effect.
Your right to cancel a distance order, which is a different right with its own rules, is on the Cancellation & Refunds page.
What you look after
Check before you buy that your machine reads one of the formats listed and that the hoop named on the collection page is one you have. Both are printed on every card and on every collection page, and a question about either is answered in writing before you order: support@monograms.live.
Keep the files to yourself. A download link is for you, and passing it on is passing on the files, which the licence does not allow.
What the shop is and is not responsible for
The shop is responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of it breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. It is not responsible for loss or damage that was not foreseeable when the contract was made.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited - including the statutory rights set out in the clause of these terms filed under IN-540.
Where you are buying for the purposes of a business, the shop is not liable for loss of profit, loss of business or business interruption. That restriction does not apply to anything you buy as a consumer.
Cancelling
A distance order carries a right to cancel for 14 days. For digital content that right can be shortened in one way only: by your own express consent, given at the checkout, to the download beginning inside that period, together with your acknowledgement that this ends the right for what has been supplied. Both boxes are unticked when the checkout is drawn and neither is required.
Leave them alone and you keep the full 14 days, with the download starting once they have passed. The whole of it - what to write, where to write it, how a refund is paid and what happens if a file is faulty - is on the Cancellation & Refunds page.
Complaints
Write to support@monograms.live and say what happened, with the order reference if there is one. A complaint is answered within two working days of arriving, and the answer says what will be done and by when.
If the answer does not satisfy you, nothing on this site affects your statutory rights, and free advice is available from Citizens Advice.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be revised. The version that applies to an order is the one published when the order was confirmed, and this edition is dated 17 September 2026, which is printed at the head of every page of the terms.
A revision is never applied backwards to an order already made, and the shop does not reserve a right to change what you have already bought.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales deal with any dispute.
If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may bring proceedings in the courts of the part of the United Kingdom where you live, and you keep the protection of any consumer law that applies there. Nothing here takes away a right you have under the law of the place you live in.
